Caleb Suit Car Accident Jacksonville, FL Death: U.S. Army Veteran, Blue Origin Engineer, and Devoted Father Caleb Suit Killed in Jacksonville DUI Crash

The Jacksonville, Florida, community is mourning the heartbreaking loss of Caleb Suit, a 36-year-old U.S. Army veteran, Blue Origin engineer, loving husband, and devoted father of two, whose life was tragically cut short following a crash involving an alleged drunk driver on Interstate 295.

According to reports, Caleb was driving home from his engineering job at Blue Origin near Daytona on the evening of June 3 when his vehicle was struck by a BMW on northbound I-295 near the San Jose exit. He suffered catastrophic injuries and was transported to Orange Park Medical Center, where he remained in a coma. After several days on life support, Caleb was sadly declared brain dead.

Born with a strong sense of duty and service, Caleb honorably served his country in the United States Army, completing two tours in Afghanistan and an additional deployment in Cuba. Following his military career, he transitioned into engineering, where he continued to excel professionally while providing for his family.

While his accomplishments were many, those who knew Caleb say his greatest role was that of a father. Family members describe him as a loving and dedicated parent who cherished every moment with his children. His wife, Sloan, remembered him as an exceptional man whose love, support, and devotion formed the foundation of their family.

Friends and loved ones recall Caleb as hardworking, intelligent, compassionate, and selfless. Whether serving his nation, supporting his family, or contributing to groundbreaking aerospace work, he approached every responsibility with integrity and determination.

As family, friends, and colleagues grieve this tremendous loss, they are also celebrating a life defined by courage, service, and unconditional love. Caleb leaves behind a legacy that extends far beyond his military and professional achievements—it lives on through the countless lives he touched and the family he loved so deeply.

We extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife, children, relatives, friends, fellow veterans, and coworkers during this difficult time. May Caleb Suit be remembered with gratitude, honor, and lasting respect, and may his memory continue to inspire all who knew him.
